Trip Cancellation Policy: Due to recent issues, refunds will only be given if we have a waiting list and are able to fill your spot. Trips costing $30 or more must be paid on the day of registration.

Skirball Museum: Recent Gifts and Acquisitions Exhibition

Visit Skirball Museum on the campus of Hebrew-Union College Jewish Institute of Religion to enjoy a docent-led tour of recent gifts and acquisitions. This collection includes a group of 10 important works by Israeli artists, a blown glass Hanukkah by renowned artist Marvin Lipofsky, an American Hanukkah by Anfred Manson, and works from the B’nai B’rith Klutznick Collection. Enjoy lunch before the tour at our J Café.

Playhouse in the Park Matinee: The Lifespan of a Fact

A critically acclaimed 2018 Broadway play, this fast-paced story explodes with blistering comedy and timely relevance. Facts become blurry when they’re twisted into fiction in the high-stakes world of publishing. Emily Penrose, the demanding editor-in-chief of a high-end magazine, hires a determined millennial fact-checker named Jim Fingal to work on a groundbreaking essay written by the famous author John D’Agata. The deadline is tight, the essay is dense, and everyone must make a good faith effort in telling the story honestly. But the overly eager Jim takes his fact-checking way too far, creating the ultimate showdown of fact versus fiction.

Tour of Peterloon Estate and Stone Creek Dining

The historic home of Cincinnati developer and arts patron John J. Emery and his wife Irene was designed by the architect William Adams Delano of Delano & Aldrich, the leading country-house architectural firm in the United States. The house is a combination of Georgian and Queen Anne styles and, when finished, had 36 rooms, 19 fireplaces, 21 baths, and included a wing of guest rooms. Originally sited on 1,200 wooded acres in Indian Hill, the house was built in 1928 to rival the grandest houses of America and Europe. We will enjoy lunch at Stone Creek Dining.

American Sign Museum

Let’s go out of this world at the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission exhibit. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see artifacts that made the 953,000-mile journey possible, like Buzz Aldrin’s gold-plated extravehicular helmet visor and thermal insulated gloves. The star of the exhibition is the Columbia command module, on display outside the National Air and Space Museum for the first time since 1976! We will enjoy lunch out at Taft’s Ale House.

Matthew 25: Ministries Tour

Join us as we visit Matthew 25: Ministries to learn about their humanitarian aid and disaster relief programs, as well as their use of in-house manufacturing right here in Blue Ash, which provides access to frequently requested items by repurposing products that would otherwise be destined for the landfill! Come dressed to volunteer and tour the facility, including comfortable closed-toe shoes. After our tour we will enjoy lunch out at Marx Hot Bagels (under new management).

N.C. Wyeth: New Perspectives Exhibition at the Taft Museum of Art

March 11, 10:30am – 3pm

Co-organized by the Brandywine River Museum of Art and the Portland Museum of Art, this exhibition showcases approximately 50 large-scale paintings by N.C. Wyeth, the patriarch of one of America’s most prominent artistic families. Many of Wyeth’s grand images bring to life stories that are still well-known today, including Treasure Island, The Last of the Mohicans, The Boy’s King Arthur, and Rip Van Winkle. New Perspectives revises his reputation by also highlighting his private work, which reveals Wyeth’s love of nature and the contemporary American scene. We will enjoy lunch at the Lindner Family Cafe at the Taft.
