PJ Library Celebrates the Birthday of the Trees

At Sharon Woods Adventure Station

Join your PJ Library friends as we celebrate the birthday of the trees! The Adventure Station is a two-story indoor playground that is connected with a large sycamore tree ladder, three slides and climbing features. We will meet some animal friends and together, we will blow out the candles for the trees and celebrate with cake!

Let’s Make a Mess with PJ Library
Feb. 2, March 8, April 5, May 3; 3:30 – 4:30pm
At Mayerson JCC

Ages 0 – 3

Take the mess out of your house and make it in ours! Come to the J with your little ones where we will make a mess while we explore all types of fun projects! Science, food, art – as long as it’s a mess!


Intergalactic Havdalah with PJ Library
February 8, 7 – 8:30pm
At Drake Planetarium
Cost: $5 per child, max $15 per family

Celebrate Havdalah with PJ Library families under the stars. The planetarium’s instructors will start with what’s outside at night. PJ Library friends will receive a star chart and are instructed how to use it to locate visible constellations, planets, moons and other astronomy phenomena. Then we will get together in the dome for an immersive adventure.


STEAM Night with PJ Our Way
Ages 8 – 13
At Mayerson JCC

February 16, 4pm
Cost: $10 per child at the door

Join your PJ Our Way friends and Emily and Amber from Strive Academy for a fun-filled STEAM night! Learn how to make and play carnival games! Let’s bring your parents back a little early so they can play your carnival games too. Dinner will be provided.


PJ Library’s Fifth Annual Hamentaschen Bake
March 1, 1pm and 3pm
At Out of Thyme Kitchen
Cost: $5 per baker – cash at the door

We will be mixing dough, filling our triangles with all sorts of deliciousness including chocolate, sprinkles, and various jellies. While the cookies are baking, we’ll be interactively telling the story of Purim. We look forward to celebrating Purim with your family and eating yummy hamentaschens together!


Tea Party with Your PJ Library Grandparents
March 15, 3 – 4:30pm
At Bonbonerie
Cost: $18 per grandparent – children are free!

Bring your grandkids for a tea party! Get dressed in your finest tea party clothes and be ready to sip tea, enjoy yummy tea party food and meet other PJ Library grandparents. You do not need to be currently enrolled in the PJ Library Grandparent program to attend.

PJ Library Makes Matzah with the Matzah Factory!
March 29, 2pm
At Mayerson JCC

Join PJ Library and Chabad Blue Ash for an authentic matzah-baking experience! Explore the ancient art of “shmura matzah” baking and make your own matzah from start to finish. Grind the wheat, make the flour, knead the dough, and roll out your own matzah. Don’t miss this fun, educational experience for the entire family!


Mezuzah Making with PJ Our Way
Ages 8 – 13

At Brazee Art Studio
Cost: $15 per person

Calling all PJOW kids! Join us at the Brazee Art Studio for a night of crafting. Create your own glass mezuzah with your PJOW friends. You choose everything – the design, the color, and the patterns! Dinner will be provided.

I Scream, You Scream with PJ Library

At Mayerson JCC

Get ready to shake your way to homemade ice cream with PJ Library! Shavuot is coming and we celebrate the holiday with dairy treats so this will be a perfect time to have an ice cream party! After we shake our bags and make homemade vanilla ice cream we will top it off with all of our favorite toppings.


PJ Library, PJ Baby, and PJ Our Way family programs are offered at the J and other local venues to children up to 11 years old with at least one Jewish parent.
