Let’s Make a Mess with PJ Library

Sept. 8 (event is full), Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Dec. 8; 3:30 – 5pm
Ages 0 – 3

Take the mess out of your house and make it in ours! Come to the J with your little ones where we will make a mess while we explore all types of fun projects! Science, food, art – as long as it’s a mess!


Kids’ Mega Challah Bake

September 26, 5:30pm – 7pm
Ages 3 – 12
Cost: $14/person – register by September 5 to pay only $10/person

Join PJ Library, the J, and Chabad Jewish Center for a pre-Rosh Hashanah Kids’ Mega Challah Bake! Each child will make their own Challah and enjoy dinner and crafts. This fun community event is open to all, regardless of background or affiliation. 

PJ Library Goes Apple Picking!
September 15, 3 – 5pm
At Irons Fruit Farm in Lebanon

Join your PJ Library friends and pick a variety of apples for your Rosh Hashanah table! We’ll split the cost of the bushels, and collect donations to donate bushels of apples to organizations and families who need them. Space is limited; RSVP is required.

*The availability of apples for picking will be dependent on the farm’s crops.


Sushi Making in the Sukkah with PJ Library
October 13, 3 – 4:30pm
Ages 2 – 12

Celebrate Sukkot with us! Join your PJ Library friends in the sukkah at the JCC as we make candy sushi and other fun, edible crafts!


Mitzvah Day with PJ Library
November 17, 3pm – 4:30pm

Bring the family and give back to our community! We will have many different stations set up for you to be a part of a variety of mitzvah projects that will benefit the greater Cincinnati community. Presented in partnership with Global Day of Jewish Learning: Words Matter – Speaking Volumes.


Paint Your Own Menorahs with PJ Library
December 8, 1:30 – 4pm
Cost: $15/person
At Queen City Clay

Meet us at Queen City Clay in Hyde Park as we paint our own menorahs! It is Jewish custom for every child to have their own menorah. Gather with your PJ Library friends to begin the Hanukkah celebration as each child creates their own masterpiece menorah!


PJ Library, PJ Baby, and PJ Our Way family programs are offered at the J and other local venues to children up to 11 years old with at least one Jewish parent. In partnership with the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, and thanks to generous funding from Anne Heldman, Jo Levine, the Fisher family (founding sponsor), and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
